If you can't decide whether you like Bring Me The Horizon or Taylor Swift, give Latvian band Cellar Cat a listen. They started out as an indie rock and Britpop band, but since the addition of all the current members in 2015, they've transformed into the full-fledged alternative rock and metal band they are now. In 2023 they were one of the six finalists in the Latvian part of the Wacken Metal Battle. In general, Cellar Cat don't worry too much about genre restrictions - they just try to make music that sounds great. Sometimes it's metal, sometimes it's romantic metal. As a result, they appeal to a wider audience, and for some listeners they may serve as a gateway to heavy metal. Cellar Cat have won several Latvian music competitions, had their songs played on Latvian radio and played at many festivals, including Labadaba, Live at Heart and the Eastern European finals of Emergenza. At the end of 2021, Cellar Cat released their first EP titled 'Broken Glass', followed by several music videos, including a video with Eissa Morphide from the band Morphide for the song 'Living Dead' and the synth track 'Freedom'. Critical Acclaim is an English singing band from Prerov, Czech Republic, formed in 2014 in the alternative metal/modern rock genre. They have three studio albums (Taste Of Ink 2015, Learn and Live 2018, Vague Faces 2021) and 4 singles. The band's energetic live show, mixing thick guitar riffs with live samples and melodic vocals, sees them touring regularly, having played at major festivals such as Kaminka, Zubr Fest and many more. The band also supported American band Dayseeker on their European tour during their visit to the Czech Republic.
