Irena & Vojtěch Havlovi

The legendary musical duo - the married couple Irena and Vojtěch Havel are one of the few Czech musicians working outside the field of classical music whose work resonates abroad. They have recorded several profile albums inspired by minimalism and non-European cultures.

Recently, after 14 years, the band released a new album Four Hands featuring pieces for four-hand piano and organ. The two couples naturally complement each other when playing and create one musical organism. The album is characterized by repetitive motifs inspired by minimalism and layered melodicism with a sometimes meditative character.
