For their June concert, Jazz Dock Orchestra will play music by some of the great contemporary big band composers and arrangers, featuring a  wide range of pieces by Maria Schneider, Vince Mendoza, Bob Brookmeyer,  Jim McNeely, and others. The programme will feature original compositions as well as historic jazz classics, given new and innovative treatments by these great musicians, whose work has influenced a whole generation of big band writers.
